I still have a job! I'm still with the temp agency until next fiscal year (February). This is a relief. BIG relief off of my shoulders.

The Harris County Commissioners Court approved the transfer of management of records and archives over from FPM (Facilities and Property Management) to ITC (Information Technology Center). Since I am working through a temp agency, I don't know if my position will transfer over with them. I am very nervous about this transition. I may or may not have  a job in a couple of days. Hopefully, my supervisor can get them to transfer the position over and get me on the county payroll. If not, it's back to job hunting again. But, we shall see.

Note to self: Turkey makes one sleepy.

All five of the Gore kids were there! Miracles happen! A lot of my cousins were there, including Jessica. Other than that not much to say for today.

Ms. Heather Mills needs to get her facts straight.

I don't think cows alone cause greenhouse effects. I think overpopulation and exhumes from gas and diseal have more of an impact. If animal cause greenhouse effects, wouldn't we have seen the effects BEFORE industrialization? Duh! Hello! Anyone home?! I guess not. Connecting meat to greenhouse effects and the environment are like comparing apples and oranges. Groups and people like this get on my nerves.

Work is going slow this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Yesterday was pretty quiet and it's a bit quieter today in terms of requests.

I'm back after God knows how long.

Big update in my life: I got a job that I like! I work for a temp agency at the Harris County Records Center. I'm a records analyst there. I do monthly statistics, fill requests, refiles, destruction notices, and other tasks as assigned. If your curious what the records center is, it's a facility that houses inactive county records.

I actually enjoy getting up at 5 am to get to work!

Heather Mills needs a handicap tag!

OMG! I don't konw the whole story behind this, but she obviously needs a tag. She qualifies for one! http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/4188706a5620.html And if she did stick her tongue out at the cop, that's so immature.

My friend is getting married! One of my friends in Indiana is getting married! We leave at the end of this month. She's getting married on September 29, my dad's birthay. Double celebration! It just doesn't seem normal for her to get married.

The woman annoys me! Thank God(s) I will never meet her!

She's gave Paul an ultimatum! She told him give up the drugs or me! That statement sounds like conditional love to me, and as far as I know, conditional love and ultimatums don't work. One of my cousins told his son to give up drugs or get out of his house. The son ended up overdosing WHILE in his father's house. Conditional love and ultimatums can lead to resentment. That recent example tells me that unconditional love and helping the person through their tough times work better. If I was marrying Paul, I would have said, "You made some mistakes in the past. I understand that, but let's look into the possibility of rehab." I would never give anyone conditional love. "I love you if..." sounds mean to me.

That's my rant for the day.

I got a full-time job at a Texas charter school as a school librarian. I have to switch between two campuses. I had to resign for many reasons.
1. They gave me two weeks to catalog the books and get the libray up and running, when it wasn't up and running in the first place. The previous librarian didn't leave any work behind, so I had to start from scratch!!!!!!
2. They told me that I had to start teaching children how to use the library when it wasn't even usable!!!!!!!! The majority of these kids are from working class families, especially at one campus where the kids are really uncontrollable.
3. I asked for supplies to get the library up and running, and I HAVEN'T GOTTEN ANY OF THE THINGS I REQUESTED!!!!! I did request the Dewey Decimal Classification manual and I did receive that.
4. I got support from one of my supervisors. The other one said "The libray is not my responsibility" and "You need to learn classroom management." I'm not trained as a teacher. You just don't learn about classroom management overnight! The art teacher is having the same problems I am, so I know I'm not the only one.
At least I have three weeks left.

I'm sorry, but eating turkey at Thanksgiving has been a tradition in America for a long time. You just can't force everyone in the world to go vegetarian just because you think it's right. That is what it seems she is trying to do.

I don't like the new Texas constitutional amendent banning gay marriage. WTF is that all about?! The legislature is trying to force their values on other people which is wrong! I think everyone should have equal rights along with civil rights!

Ok. I'm done for now.

This last week has been interesting. I flew up to Indiana to be with my friend for his 18th birthday. I was there for a whole week. I got to see my former employer who treated me to lunch. She gave me eight copies of a letter of recommendation. I got to see one of my old professors. We had a Saturday late-night party for my friend. I got him a Playstation 2 memory card because he hasn't turned off his playstation 2 for months because he didn't want to lose his game progess. We turned off the console in order to watch Batman Begins, then we opened presents. He thought it was funny that he got his memory card after he turned off his game. I got to see snow before I left.

When I got back, I had a voice mail message for a possible full-time library job from a Texas charter school. I am really excited about that. I need to start brushing up on my children's literature.

She is protesting against J. Crew for using fur in their products instead of helping with the hurricane relief efforts. If she wants to make a difference she should either protest in China or help with the relief efforts. J. Crew is a business and protesting in front of their offices may or may not change anything. To me, she seems like she is trying to enhance her image. People who are radical animal rights activists really get on my nerves sometimes.

I am am member of a Beatles forum, which I find to be a very cool forum. I posted a poll about if anyone thinks that Paul McCartney's and Heather Mills' marriage will last along with a list of signs of a problem marriage that I got from my family psychology textbook. I said that the marriage will not last because of the factors and from personal experience. One guy on the forum says I was stating pop psychology and that my personal family experiences didn't count as evidence!!!!!!!! He wanted me to ask my mom about it and I did. She said statistically those marriages don't last.

Now I have strong feelings about Paul and I really dispise his new wife who I think is a golddigging, egotistical bitch who is using Paul to get at his money and to promote her image. When this guy said those things to me it really pissed me off. He deleted those posts, but my responses indicate that he was personally attacking me. The guy goes by the username juniorsfarm (after a Paul McCartney song). If any of you would like to see what I'm talking about here's the link to the main page of the forums.

And here's the link to my poll.

I find this guy to be a complete asshole when it comes to respecting other people's educated opinions. He is so pro-Heather that it sickens me!

If this guy is not careful when it comes to personally attacking people, he could get banned from the forum.

My job hunting has been slow going. The other day I filled out an application for a job that was posted on the Texas Library Association website but hasn't maede it into the Harris County system yet. This shows the potential employer that I have initiative and that I am hunting different sources for jobs. I did this when dad took me downtown to turn in an application for the City of Houston.

Yesterday, I filled out an application for a new posting and Dad took it to the post office for me. So nice of him. :) I love my dad!

I hope these applications go somewhere.

This past week was very hectic. My Pop (my grandfather) passed away on Sunday the 23rd of May early in the morning from a kidney infection. He lived a full 82 years. I broke down at the final viewing at the funeral service. Pop and I were buddies. We played solitare together and listened to the early Beatles as we played. One time, Pop put a black queen on a black king and I said, "Pop, you can't do that." We had great times. He's in a better place now and doesn't have to suffer.

On a lighter note: I got to hang out with my best friend Jalyn yesterday. We went to see the movie Madagascar. It was a funny movie.

I am still job hunting. No now posting yet. I'm still searching.

I graduated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I need to job hunt. Oh, joy. (sarcasm ensues) I'm really not looking forward to going back to Houston, but my stuff is not being moved down in case I get a job here in Bloomington. I have 3 applications here, and 5 in Houston. That's a good amount. I'll get a job somehow, if it kills me!
